Generate device token (Sumsub)

Generates a Sumsub Device Intelligence token to initialize the fisherman SDK client-side.

Objectif

This helper produces the token used by @sumsub/fisherman to capture device signals.

The same session_id must be preserved across the token, client collection, and sumsub.evaluate_platform_event or sumsub.evaluate_transaction.

  • Before a login, signup, password reset, or 2FA reset assessed by Sumsub.
  • Before a financial transaction enriched with Device Intelligence.

Device session identifier. When absent, Ormuz generates one from the process and node.

Behavior

Generate the token

The helper calls the Sumsub Device Intelligence endpoint with sessionId and userPlatformEventType.

Collect client-side

The frontend initializes fisherman with the token, then calls fingerprint().
