An annotation belongs to the process design document. It is never scheduled as a step, receives no binding, and does not appear as an executed node in an instance.

Document next to a router why the manual-review threshold is set to a specific amount, or visually group the steps of a compliance check.

This node declares no binding output.
Behavior
- The content is edited as Markdown in the Process Builder.
- The note's position and width serve only graph readability.
- Annotations are ignored by process finalization and execution.
Limits and responsibilities
- An annotation must not carry a rule required for execution: encode that rule in the relevant nodes or contracts.
- It is not a user action, and its Markdown is never presented in a User Journey.
