Set the process output
Materializes once the functional result published by a successful instance, according to the definition's output schema.
Vue d’ensemble
A process definition may declare typed outputs. set_process_output is the explicit point where the instance assigns their values before completion.
Exemple
A credit-decision process publishes approved, credit_limit, and reason so its caller or parent subprocess consumes a stable contract rather than details of its internal nodes.
Parameters 1
In the Process Builder, parameters are dynamically derived from the output schema of the current definition.
Outputs 0
This node declares no binding output.
Behavior
Resolve the contract
Configurable fields correspond to outputs declared on the process definition.
Validate the values
Each value must satisfy the type and constraints of the output contract.
Publish once
An instance may set its functional output only once. A second attempt fails the node instead of silently overwriting the result.
Limits and responsibilities
- The node does not by itself finish the process; it sets the result that will be published when the instance successfully reaches its end.
- Publish only the contract useful to the caller. Internal details remain available in observability without needing to become functional outputs.
- Each mode is unavailable on this node because final output is unique at the instance level.
